Interior Designer
Since joining SCM Architects in mid-2009, Stacey has brought to the firm her passion for sustainable design and the pursuit of excellence in the field of architecture and interior design. A highly-motivated person, Stacey has demonstrated academic excellence throughout her educational career, and has consistently displayed professional conduct during her employment at SCM Architects. She is inspired by the anonymous quote, “Let creativity take hold of you and opportunities will come your way. Creativity sets no limits or standards. Creativity is in all of us, so let it take hold of you and apply it to real life design.”
Stacey is a member of the United States Green Building Council and is a LEED-Accredited Professional, having passed the LEED for Commercial Interiors exam in 2009. She is interested in sustainable living and design. She understands that sustainability involves not only how the resources within one’s surrounding environment can be used for living, but also how good design impacts the health, safety, and well-being of users within a space.
Stacey pursues creativity in her life whenever possible. She enjoys photography, drawing and painting with various mediums, stained glass, and dance. Her free time is spent traveling and spending time with her friends and family with whom she is very close, often over a cup of coffee.
She appreciates great design and finds herself inspired by Charles Rennie Mackintosh, Louis Tiffany, Charles and Ray Eames, and Frank Lloyd Wright.
Stacey says, “I believe God desires for us to be grateful and content with what we have and use the resources He has given us here on this earth for good, and not to be wasteful of them.”
She says that she is particularly impacted by the words of Mother Teresa, “Peace begins with a smile.”
Stacey is married to her best friend Justin.
